Twenty-two per cent cite the Japanese traditions and culture. For those holding negative views, the foreign policy of Japan is the most widely-cited reason that explains their negative rating, a view held by 36 per cent. The Japanese economy, products, and services is the second most-cited reason (20%), closely followed by the Japanese traditions and culture, and the way Japan treats its people (both 19%).
